Outofstock returns with another release, this time a two-tracker from Timofti which is well known as being a part of Audiotheque. After the great reception that followed after the premiere of this label, it was a tough job to have any material at least close to that one, but Timofti lived up to the expectations and produced some of the most attracting sounds you would hear lately.
"Storyline" is the masterpiece of the A-side, an extremely well-balanced tune with an appealing, low vocal part and an edgy bassline is as good as it comes. Unpredictable, but amazing, the track is sophisticated due to the quirky percussions and spacey hats, all of them in perfect place to offer a unique vibe. A linear product, according exactly to the Romanian sound that is so highly appreciated lately, this one is definitely going to make a mark for years to come due to its complexity and real value.
The B side contains a contrast because of the "Blue Effect", a more darkish concept that inserts the idea of the sea, both with its title and with an astonishing depiction through sound, a truly artistry composition that can induce you in the musicians perspective. The basline is the root of this image, with an aggressive but deep approach, also completed by some acoustic elements that go beyond the usual aspects, delivering a new insight of Timofti.
