D. Carbone
A1 Abuse
A2 Abuse (Go Hiyama Remix)
B1 Abnormal Distortion
close
After the successful release of the 'Form and Function' series from Abstract Division, which included remixes from the likes of Delta Funktionen, Ben Sims, Milton Bradley, Mike Parker and Norman Nodge, Dynamic Reflection continues its slow but steady ascent to the highest regions of label-land with its twelfth release to date. Two original tracks from D. Carbone, one of Italy's finest producers and label owner of REPITCH, and an accompanying remix from Japanese legend Go Hiyama. This EP is only the first of many more first class material Dynamic Reflection will be putting out in 2012.
First up is 'Abuse', which might just be a reference to the process D. Carbone decided to put his machinery through when making it. Immediately greeted by a kick that could shatter concrete, Abuse meticulously adds layer upon layer of distorted sounds, eventually reaching a wonderful peak . The final result is an absolute sledgehammer techno track that should do very well in the sets of those who like to roughen it up for quite a while.
On remix duty we find Japanese legend Go Hiyama who contributes a different impression of 'Abuse' to the package. Keeping the distant pads intact and forcing the distortion to the background somewhat, Hiyama shuffles the track's rhythm around elegantly. Percussion hammering on top of a broken beat and an addition of a single vocal stab keep the original's groove fully intact despite taking out some of its aggression and replacing it with a touch of subtlety.
The release is completed by 'Abnormal Distortion', a track that shows D. Carbone likes to speak his mind when it comes to track titles. Factory sounds, shuffled hihats and gritty kicks fight for dominance in a minefield of distortion. It's hard not to feel sorry for all the sound systems out there that will undoubtedly be having to put up with this monster real soon.
It's only February and Dynamic Reflection already makes it presence known in 2012. Many more things will follow that, besides hopefully making this year into a special one for the label, will undoubtedly fill crates everywhere with proper techno.
After the successful release of the 'Fo...

B1 Here To Stay
close
Gerwin & Nuage return to the Fokuz imprint once again. On the A side we have a colab between the two who again prove to be incredible talents. 'Hidden Dreams' uses a beautifull soundscape/atmosphere on top of a stripped back drum line and a deep bass. The vocal gives just that bit of soul while still maintaining the depth. On the flip we have 'Here To Stay' by Gerwin. Again some deep vibes, except this one is a slightly more dancefloor orientated track with bouncey drums, a superb bassline and heavy delayed vocals.

DJ Absurd
A1 Sahara Pink
B1 Summer In The Abyss
close
This new record from DJ Absurd on Kiosk Records imprint sets new musical landscapes for the Parisian producer.
More used to dancefloor tear-out anthems than soundtracks for meditation , he delivers there a very deep record bringing back the memories of his uk garage background.
Both tracks on this EP have enough sub bass to make the ground shake even if listened to on laptop speakers ! skanky drum patterns & dubby chords ride on a gigantic bass worm making its way from your feet to your brain in a second.
For fans of : DMZ, Mosca, Random Trio,
Kryptic Minds & generally speaking it will please any bass music enthousiast in a deep mood .
What they said :
- Hard House Banton (Rinse FM) : 'Sahara Pink sounds nice to finish up a set with!
prob leave the peeps wanting more! :)'
- Crabbe (Jess & Crabbe) :'into Summer In The Abyss vibe -

Markantonio & Roberto Capuano
A1 Melting Process
B1 The Gap
B2 The Gap / Roberto Capuano remix
close
Analytic Trail label boss Markantonio teams up with rising star Roberto Capuano for a superb EP of driving techno featuring original tracks from both artists as well as two collaborative recordings and a pair of swapped remixes.
Markantonio has been at the forefront of Italy's techno scene since the late nineties, with his Analytic Trail imprint having been behind some outstanding music for the last decade. He is also no stranger to collaborations having worked up some classic cuts with the likes of Davide Squillace, Rino Cerrone & Joseph Capriati and it's in this spirit of collaboration that Markantonio embarks upon his next release, this time
working alongside the hugely talents Roberto Capuano. Capuano hails from Naples in Italy and has in the space of a few short years build an enviable reputation with a string of quality releases for the likes of MiniSketch, Monique Music and Elegant Bit Records.
This join release gives a real insight into the sound and style of both producers, featuring
as it does two collaborative tracks, an original solo track from each and a swapped remix
from both parties. The record kicks off with collaborative recording and title track
'Melting Process', a deep, dark and rolling slice of floorfilling techno that sets out to take no prisoners. This is closely followed by the second collaboration, the excellent 'T4' which journeys into twisted tech territory with rigid drum patterns and edgy stabs.
Next up with have Markantonio 'The Gap', a rolling monster of a track with pitch shifted riffs and an incessant bassline that keep things firing on all cyclinders.
Roberto Capuano offers up his remix which picks up the intensity with some distorted drums and a menacing late night vibe. Finally we have the original and Markantonio remix of Capuano's 'Taken' with the former taking things down a deep, hypnotic techno route and the latter picking up the toughness and delivering another winner.
Another great release from the Analytic Trail label..

Played and Supported by Marcel Dettmann, Laurent Garnier, Markus Suckut, Norman Nodge, Jonas Kopp, Dimi Angelis, Max_M, Tadeo, Electric Indigo, Arnaud Le Texier and more.
The Biorecordings born in 2011 from an idea by Fabio Scalabroni, Italian DJ and producer. Already has several releases out with pseudonyms AMbit3, Bitbucket, Hologram, Cogor etc. He prefers and loves electronic music: ambient, deep, techno, idm and dubtechno. This label was created to give quality to his musical roots ..dub / techno / Detroit.
'Biorecordings: the life of something that passes through the heart!'
Long horizons and distant landscapes... the hidden corners of his personality .... journeys where the mind can see everything.
After three fantastic releases in digital format, Biorecordings is shown in the preferred format: vinyl.
Here Fabio shows an original track with the classic atmosphere that he knows how to propose. One track of pure dub techno. A visionary trip where you close your eyes and move your body to infinity.
Three different remixes signed by underground artists who know very well their sound source. Gr-oy plays the track by focusing on a rhythm that rides on the atmosphere turned into deep hypnosis. Giulio Maresca creates a much more acidic version, but never leaving the atmosphere of the original track. Zzzzra enters the deepest roots of dub, echoes and chord fills every space.

Mikael Jonasson returns to Phobiq with the mysterious "Evolution" and takes us on a shadowy ride with some sharp twists and turns.
The effect-laden original mix pounds its way steadily through the darkness, emphasizing heavily on sonic manipulations and rumbling bass. Sasha Carassi's interpretation is a pure chugger, with a solid rhythm section and some psychotic synth work thrown in for good measure.
Samuel L. Session serves two renditions of "Evolution", the first one being the aptly titled "Bang The Drums Mix", where some tribal action is layered onto the pulsating bass, while clever edits steal the show. In his second mix, we are introduced to some warm chord stabs and stripped-down drums all the way through.
