The roots of proper Detroit techno are wrapped all around this new M_REC Ltd. release.
Madrid-based producer Aikan drops three new tracks on this 12": 'First Balance' is basically a subdued dancefloor anthem, structured to surprise. There's melody, kick and experimentation, delivering in every sense. 'Second balance' pays tribute to those hypnotic melodies that we all recognize as techno staples.
On the flip side, Regis (undoubtedly one of the most relevant techno acts of the last 20 years) re-interprets 'Second Balance' boosting its most sinister side, playfully manipulating industrial and acid elements. What comes out is an exciting, but contained apocalypse that makes all rooms vibrate. To close the EP, 'Third Balance' turns all acid elements to overdrive, celebrating the techno that plays late at night, where layers and layers are interlaced to drive things forward.
Balance is another chapter fitting M_Rec Ltd. idea of techno as a clearly defined school, but with boundaries meant to be pushed in all directions.

For this 22nd release on Lomechanik we present the EP 'When Her Language Goes On Holiday' by Urkelle, which will be available on vinyl and digitally. Intelligent, deep bass music that fits just as well on the dancefloor as on your
headphone. Urkelle is one of the aliases of Steve Mensink, a Dutch producer which is based in the city of Utrecht. This EP resonates with an intruiging tension between repetition and progression. The release will appeal to the
fans of the subtle progressions of Theo Parrish, as well as those of the broken bass music by Objekt or the hypnotic atmospheres of classic Autechre releases.
'When Her Language Goes On Holiday' takes you on a sonic journey. We recently featured Urkelle on our digitally released 'Ondergrond'
compilation. The latest vinyl release by Steve Mensink was 'Bouree', which he released as Felix Lenferink on the forward-thinking label Fourth Wave, a sublabel of Ramp Recordings. He'll also release a 2x12inch in the near future on that label under the same alias. A vinyl release on Shipwrec, another electronic music label from Nijmegen which we are good friends with, is also underway. Besides his Urkelle and Felix Lenferink monikers, he has succesfully
been releasing more house-oriented music as Frits Wentink, on Rotterdam based Triphouse Records amongst others.
On Friday, the 6th of July we will present this release in 'Etalage Derde Wal' in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. This night the sounds of Urkelle will be presented in conjunction with live vocals by singer Loes Jongerlink, combined with an exposition of the MIDI-controllers that Steve Mensink builds himself out of wood. The visual theme of this night will be based on the cover design for this record. This vinylrelease will be the first in a new triptych of releases on Lomechanik, which will all feature a characteristic hand silk screen printed
design on the cover.

B1 Survival (Riskotheque Remix)
B2 Slipstream
close
Chewie stands taller-than-the-other-Wookie in the Dubstep scene at the moment,
blowing out eardrums 'round the globe from his outpost down under. This UK
transplant graces Paradise Lost with a vicious, apocalyptic EP of razor-sharp
basslines and ominous textures that will kick you in the gut 140 times per minute.
Title track 'Survival' is built in the run-and-gun style, mixing Chewie's patented
writhing basslines with sci-fi textures and soundscapes of doom into a maelstrom of
sonic badness that will weed out the weak-at-heart from the dancefloor. 'Outpost
31' takes things to a colder, steppy level and is the sort of psychological mind-f**k of
a tune that one might rock out to in an Antartic outpost being infiltrated by
shapeshifting aliens (Outpost 31... anyone???). The flipside sees Riskotheque
taking the reigns on his remix rendition of 'Survival', delivering a deeper, darker,
techier variation on the original's epic theme - deadly stuff in the original Risko stylee!
Finally, 'Slipstream' is full-on, raving-off-yer-head mayhem, but with a level of quality
that those producing "popular" Dubstep at the moment can only ever hope to attain.
As a bonus exclusive to the digital release, 'Adagio For Dub' combines a well-known
classical theme with trademark bassline science and floorshredding beats. All this
adds up to the total package of dancefloor destruction and is brought to you by your
dear friends at Paradise Lost and man-of-the-moment Chewie. Cop it!

Continuing Motech's 10 year celebrations and a kick-ass party at London's fabric last month, DJ 3000 now presents '10 Years of Motech (The Remixes) Part 2 EP' ahead of the full length remix CD due this summer.
Part 1 already saw both DJ 3000 and Sascha Sonido take on Gerald Mitchell's 'Belly Dancer' from MT-008. Now UK techno legend, Mark Broom takes a brief break from his Beardman imprint to add this killer interpretation for an impressive opener.
Next up we turn to Goodlife's Kiko who doesn't disappoint with his driving new rendition of DJ 3000's 'Defiant' (MT-015), toughening up the original but still maintaining its funk-fuelled roots.
The rest of the EP features a remix a track taken from Franki Juncaj's 2011 album 'Invisible Moods'. Firstly, 'I'll Be Around' gets the remix treatment from Detroit's Luke Hess, whose releases have appeared on the likes of Echocord, Kontra-Musik and the mighty Planet-E delivers a moodier take on things, with deep pads and a grooving beat.

Another limited Edtition EP (300 Copies!)
After the big success of the first part of Underground Warriors EP, Here's the second part, definitely more dub than the first one, except for Fabio Monesi's track, a very uptempo, energetic track that captures a perfect 90s feel, emphasized by the raw sound of Fabio Monesi's Machines.
The second track has been made by the young Italian Okee Ru, it has a harder edged detroit house sound.
With a deep and techy feel to this, the energy works perfectly in both house and techno djs sets. With its sparse synth pad and powerfull kick and drums this could be integrated into many styles. It has a deep and underground feel that would suit both house and techno clubs. The oldschool strings, pad and synth makes for a perfect future classic!
The third track " We Are Ungry" is signed by Marcello Napoletano & Fran Mela with their moniker I.F.M., already released on Quintessentials, Bosconi, Uzuri, Mathematics and many others great labels. The sample from "The revolution will not be televised" of Gill Scott Herron, drives the track on its grooving energy.
The Ep includes also the Finnish Deymare, recently released on Local Talk, Morris Audio, Hizou.
"Jack The Love" has a deeper and more chicago house feel to the last two tracks, it has nice jazzy instrument samples and a nice subtle vocal. Again this track has a perfect 90s feel.
Vinyl is the Answer, Don't miss it!

'Out Of Use' revolves around a piano riff, it shows resemblance with a certain producer called 'Random Movement'. This side has a slightly more laidback vibe to it and completes this EP perfectly, an excellent addition to your music collection.

Featuring the rolling, techy vibes of 'Smashface' and the paranoia inducing 'Test Subject', Jade
(with the help of Ryme Tyme) continues to push Eatbrain to the forefront of Neuroconnoisseurs
everywhere.
'Smashface (feat. Ryme Tyme)'
Beginning with an ominous intro full of dark twangs and rasping clicks, 'Smashface' revs up
the tension until Jade pulls the trigger one of the meanest basslines around. A thumping subbass dominates, with precision synths and the molten, lyrical delivery of Ryme Tyme skittering over the top. A perfect blend of relentless drive, flawless production and infectious vocals, 'Smashface' comes from renowned two artists who continue to innovate.
'Test Subject' sees Jade change the pace and bring forth the darkest vibes. Featuring an intro
that wouldn't seem out of place in a horrsor film, 'Test Subject' is Neurofunk at its most
menacing. After an atmospheric built up, the track transforms into a sophisticated roller, with
all the hallmarks of another classic Jade production. Combining unsettling synth stabs with a submerged sub and ominous pads, 'Test Subject' delivers a claustrophobic, paranoia inducing groove will find its way into only the grittiest DJ sets.

It starts off with an atmospheric intro and builds up to a superb drop. From there it's all about the dancefloor vibes as the rolling drums and a bouncy bass will definitely make an impact.
The B side is one of Blade's solo projects. 'Parts Of Me' has a more mellow vibe to it: the dusty breaks, tinkling piano keys and distant vocal make the track perfect to relax to and pretend it's a summer's evening. Born from a common will to showcase the maturity and versatility of his producer skills, IM:Ltd has taken the ambitious challenge to give to the extremely talented ARP XP the opportunity to release his first ever solo album effort 'Closer'. Gathering influences from over ten years spent in the electronic music scene, what we're presenting is an accomplished twelve-track album with the finesse you'd come to expect from the Sardinian Sun and Bass resident.. and some more intriguing touches you might not. From the eerie dystopia of title track 'Closer' featuring the mournful vocals of Estel Luz, it's clear that none of this release is concerned with brightening wintery nights. Each track has a vein of inky blackness running through it, and whether it's the clicking, mechanical metronome of standout single 'Something Wrong', the serpentine bass of 'Sickness of Time' or the somewhat middle-eastern-infused bassy stomp of 'Maybe Tomorrow' with that juddering electro clap, the first half of 'Closer' is deeper and darker than the Baltic. Even with tracks as forcefully dank and derelict as 'Papercuts' there are washes of tunes like 'Uneasy', Stunna's re-work of 'Closer' and the particularly exquisite
'Upon Waves' to counterpoint the gloom, showing some break in the clouds. You can't stamp the sunshine out of a Mediterranean heart. Trademark rolling reeses and distant euphoric pads belie, 'Closer's cynical sound gives away Arp XP's true intention - to simply make the best bass music album he can.

"Minimalized" is the highly anticipated debut album from Tokyo's Heavy1, and with its release, he pushes the boundaries of electronic music, and further cements his position as one of the most exciting new artists on the worldwide scene. This standout producer has masterfully composed 11 tracks spanning from hard hitting Drum n Bass, to musical Dubstep, to the album's title track, which is a nod to the analog synthesizers and hardware drum machines of a bygone era. Throughout "Minimalized," Heavy1's clinical and precise production is always balanced with intriguing synthesis, lush and emotive songwriting, and punishing percussion and bass. Tracks like Ongaku or Judge with June Miller show a more aggressive take on music, and tracks like Deep Train and Light Upon My Road are more musical and feature stunning original vocals from Key MC and Iriann Joyce, respectively. This body of work truly appeals to anyone with a taste for subtlety, without sacrificing impact.
