A2 The notorious Beat
B1 Concrete (Original Mix)

close
For this very special VA project, Amazing Records showcases some prime techno artists in a 4 tracker that sees them all sharing the credits and taking on each other's music at the same time. Opening "The Notorious Beat" by London's finest NHB and Italy's bad boy Giorgio Rusconi is no surprise: its increasingly hot rhythm and the punchy beats are matched by dark atmospheres and huge uplifters. Claps and snares fill in like a slap on the face. MiniCooBoyz are on remix duties for this one: with their recent release on legendary Carl Cox' Intec Digital label sitting strongly at number 1 on Beatport Techno Chart, the duo keep the juice flowing here. Big drops and a steady heavy groove are what you might expect from their rework, coupled with a sinister vibe and a no holds barred attitude. The Boyz are also releasing an original composition along with NHB again under the name "Concrete": decidedly straightforward and uncompromising, its fierce drive and rude approach don't leave much to imagination. A stomping bass line and 4/4 heavy kick drums are the signature sounds of this bunch of producers, and their impressive studio skills leave no one disappointed. The remix comes courtesy of Mr.Bizz, who have been releasing on some of the most famous labels in the genre: their trademark loopy, low-frequencies overloaded style makes a welcome addition to this super exciting release.
Support from: Speedy J, Axel karakasis, Slam, Marco Bailey, Secret Cinema, Pig & Dan, Monika Kruse, Click Box, Marco Carola, Filterheadz, Rino Cerrone, Umek, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Mr. Bizz, Luigi Madonna, Luciano, Someone Else, Florian Gasperinini, Joran Van Pol

Robert Leiner

close
De:tuned is the new label of DJs, record collectors and party promoters Bonny (Ruben Boons) and Konnekt (Bert Hermans). The label is an extension of the De:tuned parties which they have been organising since 2009 in and around Antwerp (Belgium). De:tuned stands for proper old school club music, whether it's techno, acid, rave, house.. De:tuned is about quality music in general. Previous guests at the De:tuned events include Ben Sims, Dave Angel, Mike Dred, Robert Leiner, CJ Bolland and Frank De Wulf to name but a few.
The label will focus on releasing hidden and unreleased gems from the past as well as new music with a genuine old school feel.
The first release comes from Robert Leiner (The Source Experience). Robert Leiner made a name for himself in the early nineties while working as a studio engineer & producer for the well-known Belgian R&S label.
De:tuned is very proud and honoured to present 3 unreleased tracks from Robert to kick start the label. All 3 tracks were recorded during various studio sessions between 1991 and 1993. This first release is pressed on strictly limited blue heavyweight vinyl.
The EP opens with the beautiful 'Sky Surfer'. Cleverly programmed 808 and 909 drum patterns and 303 acid lines set the tone. Female vocal snippets and uplifting synth pads come in and out of the track to enhance the druggy, euphoric warehouse feeling.
'Infiltrator' is a more straight forward track with a slightly bigger sound. The track drives and drives before it breaks down in a heavenly intermezzo, only to continue its nervous and relentless pace.
The B-side 'Trance Antwerp Express' takes you on a 13 minute trip to the far edges of the universe. A pulsating, hypnotic bass line swirls and twists throughout the track, accompanied by eerie background sounds and effects that creep up and take hold of you. Once again Robert skilfully programmed the 808 and 909 drum computers to great effect. This track may need some time to sink in, but once you get in it, there is no getting out!
It has always been there, you just have to discover it.. stay tuned!

Bursting into 2013 with a heavy dose of House, we see new Leeds based, vinyl only imprint dish up a tasty serving of
well cooked beats.
This exciting new label sets its stall out with its opening EP, Different Day EP, clearly indicating what they are all about.
Shrouded in mystery, this stomper of a release comes from an unknown source. As many speculate as to who the
original artists is, all we can be sure of is that he/she ticks the boxes when it comes to textured grooves, classic chords
and hair raising vocals, something the label has deep at its roots.
On a more familiar note, the B side welcomes in Scottish house hero James Johnston. James is no stranger to the
underground scene having had a string of releases on Illusion records, 4Lux and Dikso to name but a few. Regarded by
many as one of the most exciting producers at the forefront of the current underground house scene, its no wonder,
listening to his take on the Love & Happiness track. James' remix hits hard with a dark dubby and warped slammer of a
track, sure to inject a lethal dose of energy onto any dance floor.
Also on remix duties, Pathway Traxx has drafted in relative new comer Montel, but don't let that sway you. Montel is set
to take the underground scene by storm, getting huge support from the likes of Jordan Peak, Waze & Odyssey and
Bicep. This Irish house connoisseur shows us why he has been picked up by the likes of Wax Classic and Seven Music.
His remix of Different Day is a no holds barred, 5 minute thrill ride with shades of garage and good old rave, sure to get
any crowd bouncing.
All in all this opening release sets the bar very high for what promises to be an exciting new label. With limited pressings
and distinctive red vinyl, this release will hold a proud spot in many a DJ's record bag.
With solid foundations like these Pathway Traxx has a bright future ahead. Don't take our word for it, listen for yourself...

back with another banger compilation. On the A side we've got the quintessential anonymous producer Crue who provides heat with the very first cut on this record which is a peak time banger close to the techno and acid realm. Then, on the same side, a great Detroit deep house influenced track by Esperanza's label boss Kasper shows the infectious and deeper work for this broad release.
On the flip side Cologne based producer Adryiano shows his huge talent again with an
immense garage house cut made strictly for the dancefloor, with a delicious vocal and
an impressive low end that will become an instant classic like his previous releases.
Last but not least is Kirill Tipo, one of those hidden new names that are putting out
amazing fresh music these days. With a track full of emotions and feelings, he managed to arrange all the elements growing steadily to fulfill the release with an captivating ending.

DESCRIPTION: Leading up to the release of their next album, Tribazik return with the remx
EP 'Spacetime Collapse', featuring remixes from such electronic royalty as Venetian Snares. Tribazik are no newcomers to the spotlight. Having supported influential post punk band Killing Joke on their European tour and having previously enjoyed reviews from Rock Sound, Kerrang and Terrorizer on their last album 'All Blood Is Red', mixed by Andy Gill, of Gang Of Four, the band are establishing themselves
as a force to be reckoned with. Band members Hedge Seel, Jerry Kandiah and Syan Barlow have each earnt their music industry colours. Jerry runs the infamous Old Street studios, Syan's last band Interlock released the critically acclaimed album 'Crisis//Reinvention' on Anticulture records in 2004, and Hedge's intricate drum solos are enough to make a session player wet himself.
The EP is a rock-electronic fusion, that takes Jungle drum patterns and Acid Techno
bleeps and puts them together with menacing bass guitar riffs and distorted electric
guitars. The original mix's intro greets us with tribal like drum fills and inspired bass guitar finger picking. Energetic vocals from Jerry soar over the percussion and bass, whilst Hedge's intense live drum work can't help but impress - it's complexity immediately intrigues. Electric guitars enter sporadically mingling side by side with acid squelches. A daring fusion pulled off. Coming to the first remix, we have Venetian Snares' interpretation. VSnares, as he is sometimes known, is a man who needs little introduction, having received praise from industry icons such as John Peel and having released on Planet Mu, for the last 12 years. Here he dishes out a 5 minute workout of insane amen break madness. This is perfectly
complemented by drilling bass hits and vocal samples. The sheer complexity of the drum programming is astonishing. Next up - Chris Liberator and Sterling Moss provide an Acid techno remix. Having built up a solid reputation in the world of Acid Techno, the pair have
been selling out shows in; Australia, Japan and Brazil. Taking the bass guitar and putting it behind a marching bassline, the production duo
then build up in insistency and urgency into an acid frenzy. Kenny Parish, AKA Ghost, offers up a gorgeously filthy remix. Drum beats and percussion simmer away. Then we launch into full on chopped up live jungle break samples, courtesy of Hedge Seel. Meanwhile Ghost pumps gallons of throbbing bass into the mix - Top notch

Lycaon launches Syntagma, its fourth release, a work of Aiken, an artist closely related to the distinctive sound of the label and one of the pillars that will hold its future production. An original cut and two remixes by Agony Forces, Lycaon owners, round off the tracklist of this release.
Aiken combines techno sound of the nineties with current formulas in the main theme, giving a new dimension to classic synthesizer sounds and rhythms vintage, making a direct track capable of shaking up any disco track. In the first remix, Agony Forces decompose the elements to deliver a new alternative viewpoint, making sounds mutations and variations in rhythm the protagonists in the beginning of the second side of the disc.
At the end of it, the two producers introduce atmospheres that broad up the sound palette, a hypnotic trip with industrial touches that converts the depth in the mark of the second remix and serves as the end to the fourth installment of Lycaon records.

'Go. I don't need you anyway. You were only holding me back. You, with your rigid ways and impenetrable exterior; I'm not like you. I need movement, fluidity. Freedom. Expression. Feelings. I need to be alive. This emotionless, glass-eyed view of the world that's your vision. And you held me to it, like some sort of prisoner. Yes, that's what you are. You're shackles. Iron bars disguised as safety. You thought I would stay with you forever, in the limbo of that grounded shrinking quadrant, drip-fed. Your pet. Your lab rat. For a while there I totally lost myself, sinking further and further under your sedation. Life became colourless. And then there was nothing. But in the curlicues of deep encompassing darkness, that's when I realised: I wasn't the weak one. It was you all along. You needed me. I was the prop that stopped you from falling down. Well, no more. This ends now. It's time we became unbound. I release you. Go. Be free.'
Grey Series 04 comes from the farthest corner of Eastern Europe courtesy of Ukrainian techno pioneer, photographer and designer Stanislav Tolkachev. Like the sullen eerie beauty of his black and white photography, Tolkachev's music explores the darker, surreal fringes of electronic music in its purest, rawest state. Retroactive seams run through his audio and visual output to date from the grainy analogue qualities of his Detroit facing sound, through to the classic stills that emboss his discography. They are almost one and the same, both challenging and re-contextualising the past with modern sentiment, agendas and hidden meanings pursing with intrigue and ambiguity. 'Depth of light' sees Tolkachev plot more intoxicating, caustic dream sequences, translating fitful night terrors into a diverse and multifunctional EP. Beginning with the woozy title track we confront fears ('Like a cat's shadow') and anxieties ('Break something that breaks you') on the feverish A-side, before flipping over for reserved reprieve ('No home no flag') and acid-washed revenge ('Don't shit on your own doorstep'). And then we awake. Tired, sweaty, but satisfied.

To celebrate the birth of a new techno label called 'Ressort Imprint' the extremely talented german 'Strck' delivers an outstanding 4-Tracker including 2 originals and 2 remixes. The young guy from Dortmund already approved his skills on making heavy but still incredibly groovy techno on Labels like Kaputt before joining the re-established Ressort Family.
The EP contains the title track called Tendenz with a strong leadchord and one hell of a grooving drum-architecture, 100% Struck! Tendenz received a remix-treatment by Modularz-Mastermind 'Developer', he delivered 3 outstanding remixes. One of them can be find one the vinyl, the others are only available as a digital bonus. He takes the track into a more industrial sphere and chooses a very straight and abstract path for his interpretation.
The second original is called Ektan. This one features a very cool filtered and washed out leadsynth and scrubbing hats, definitely a good choice for the primetime. Ektan has been remixed by our familymember 'Glos', he gave his 'Flickering Light Remix' an extremely deep touch by using a lot of atmospheric pads. He keeps the dynamic by using straight drums and repeating noises, this one could be considered as an introtrack for your sets.
Keep your ears open for Ressort and welcome it's raw technocuts in your collection.

Sure, you are still playing part one remakes by Shifted, Lucy and Developer and suddenly here comes the second instalment of the series. This time the line up is awesome, starring Xhin, Perc and Orphx.
Three personal reinterpretations of the original stuff; the dark lord from Singapore puts his tools to work on "Disinformation" as well, slowing the tempo but recharging the drums with his very own distinctive approach. He also remakes the original synth sounds to make them move on the stereo scientifically.
We continue with Perc. Mr. Ali Wells destroys "Black Propaganda" with smashing broken beats, distorted snares and bleeps, big room reverbs and industrially-flavoured percussion. Not an easy one for those suffering from subwoofer trauma.
Orphx takes on "Disinformation" clearing up the original drums, digging deep into the beat, creating a very personal groove. The distorted original drum sounds appear modified in the middle of the arrangement, while harmonic drones float on top. An intelligent dance piece.
