Call the alarm and hear your warning - Reso has arrived. Hospital Records are incredibly proud to present the master of the drums' debut Hospital LP, 'Ricochet'. Over twelve tracks Reso successfully defines the optimal balance of crazy and calm, driving through tension rousing build-ups and captivating breakdowns.
Having exclusively signed to Hospital Records in 2014, we welcome Reso's second solo display with the label following his 'Pulse Code' EP released last March. With his phenomenal skills behind a drum kit and previous engineering experience with highly acclaimed dubstep producer Burial, Reso has set his stance as a producer's producer with 'Ricochet' as a just reminder to expect no less.
In two halves the 'Ricochet' LP demonstrates Reso's impeccable assiduity with drum-driven mayhem and futuristic euphoria. Tracks 'Move It', 'The Blob', 'Taiga' and title track 'Ricochet' facilitate Reso's spirit of unquestioned diligence with their multilayered madness. Following, 'What Is' and 'Coming Back To You' make full use of Reso's cinematic soundscapes and painstakingly precise drum patterns.
Not only a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Hospital's home genre of drum and bass but a versatile producer who seamlessly shifts focus with tracks 'Aqueous' and 'Echo Loss' through melodic synths and emotive jazz-styled piano.
Guaranteed to find it's way into any respected DJ's track-list, 'Ricochet' is about to take every dance-floor by storm as an album firmly cementing Reso as a strong-standing member of the Hospital roster.

After spending recent months remixing the likes of Childish Gambino, MK and Wretch 32, Friction presents the second volume of his trailblazing Vs series. Having kicked down doors last year with Volume 1 with heavyweights Total Science, Fourward and Jakes, the second chapter provides two distinct tracks featuring studio scientist Icicle and Desire Paths creators Technimatic. Friction's uncompromising dancefloor style combined with each artist bringing their own unique flavour to proceedings, the new Vs chapter raises the bar once more.

Following on from "Xylo", Krakota's Ice Hands and Ghosts duo brings a chillingly cold welcome to the second chapter of his Hospital release story. With both tracks delivering enslaving bass-lines that quickly seize your undivided attention, going hand-in-hand to display his ear-grabbing talent and sophisticated skill. A single that revitalises the darkened corners of drum and bass and slaps you with an over whelming urge to hit the nearest dance floor.

The next release on Tempa marks the return of J:Kenzo, with Urban Gorilla, the dubstep firebrand s first release since last year s crushing Magneto 12 .
Kenzo remains one of the leading lights of the genre s current generation: his tracks are thrilling exercises in futuristic, synapse-scrambling minimalism, but still deeply rooted in the community-led sound system attitude that inspires them.
Lead track Urban Gorilla epitomises that aesthetic - it features the tough, ruffneck yet dextrous vocals of Ghost crew member Juiceman, famous for his loping chat on El-B s perennial Buck n Bury . Here he s on incendiary form with a beat to match, with his deep baritone looping around percussion and bass that slinks and scuttles - equal parts dub soundboy fury and tense dystopian nightmare.
Expansion trips still further into the dark, with its whiplash bolts of sub-bass and eerie, two-note refrain instantly recalling the characteristic immersive, physically powerful sets of scene lynchpin Youngsta.
The EP closes with the instrumental version of Urban Gorilla recast as Technoid , drawing out the track s contours in sharp, brusquely metallic relief. Tough yet fluid, they re potent reminders of the force coiled within J:Kenzo s music.

A classic roots instrumental from the late 1970s featuring legendary trombonist Vin Gordon, who to call a legend or a veteran would be an understatement. Vin played on numerous Studio One classics such as `Real Rock`, `Babylon Rock`, `Steady Beat' as part of the in-house band Soul Vendors.
*Other notable works were with Lee Perry, Joe Gibbs and Aswad - he played on the classic `Warrior Charge'.
`Kojo Hoy - an instrumental with Aswad as the session band, is in the vein of the aforementioned `Warrior Charge'. It came out in the late 70s on a 12' in very small quantities and has been sought after by collectors ever since.
