LDMusic continue their evolution with a very special collaboration with Greek label Liquid Drops Recordings, showcasing the musical talents of Will Miles (USA) & Velocity (JP).
February 2016 sees the release of LDMvsLDR001 on limited edition 10" Vinyl's, packaged into recycled sleeves, each vinyl has been hand stamped & individually numbered by us & is the first part of our new 'Label VS series'.
Representing LDMusic on the A Side; Will Miles delivers a deep drum & bass roller entitled 'No Love'. Tough beats right from the intro on this one flow over the top of a heavyweight sub-bassline, complimented throughout by hypnotic & catchy vocal edits making this track perfect for the dancefloor!
The flipside showcases the musical talents of Velocity who represents Liquid Drops Recordings with a rolling remix of his own track 'Jelly Break'. Giving new life to his liquid funk original by injecting new driving beats and adding subtle inflections to the piano rifts, as delicate phrases are found deep into the mix, and brought out as only Velocity can.
DJ support from the likes of LTJ Bukem, Command Strange & DJ Chef to name but a few.

Confirming his gratitude by way of his musical contributions to the new frontier of Jungle music in 2015, Navigator continues to push his unique vocal skills further with this infectious Jungle anthem. 'Sound The Alarm' signifies the start of the campaign for the imminent release of Navigator's debut solo album on the Liondub-ODT Muzik imprint, a new and visionary collaborative label forged by New York Jungle ambassador Liondub & the veteran Navigator himself.
Addressing current global social issues while at the same time paying tribute to the immortality of Jungle music globally, this song sends out a strong message aimed towards peaceful change. Featuring Skarra Mucci, a much loved Jamaican reggae artist who has laid groundwork for years within the European music community, and produced by legendary German Junglist figurehead Bassface Sascha, this package is ready to tear up dancefloors and the airwaves worldwide.
First off, the mighty Serum hits the London Junglist g-spot with a tribal bassline stomper. Supported by select top DJs already, and featured on the latest Bryan G podcast, this one's in high demand and is accompanied by a remix video. Lost City chip in with a melee of beats and bass; a fresh fusion of Jungle, One Drop, EDM and Trap elements are used to great effect on this next-level remix. UK young gun Sticky Joe delivers melodic bass riffs, an Augustus Pablo-esque harmonica and classic dub fx in his one drop reggae remix. Finishing strong, Original producer Bassface Sascha rewinds again with a big, bad & epic VIP remix that starts off on the roots tip, then suddenly switches into a rolling driller that is sure to be another hi energy crowd pleaser.
More power reaching out to all Junglists worldwide, let's Sound the Alarm Maaaassive!

Hot on the heels of his last epic single, Navigator and an all-star cast of Jungle leaders strike again with the 'Junglist Sound' EP taken from his forthcoming debut solo album aptly entitled 'Alignment'. This EP release is a consolidation of classic lyrics, beats and artists that have been assembled by virtue of their current relevance in Navigator's reality.
Transforming real life into lyrics is Navigators musical forte, and this is very well demonstrated on "Chatty Mouth" featuring London hit-maker David Boomah, backed up with rolling beats and a melodic baseline from Liondub & Marcus Visionary. The original DJ veteran Ranking Joe cameos on the title track "Junglist Sound" allowing Navi to show his gratitude and pay homage to one of his inspirations from back in the good old days of the Jamaican/UK sound system era, when Navigator was a young up and coming MC. "Meditation Time" is another solid example of Navi's lyrical mastery supported by the classic breaks laden sound of Birmingham based Junglist producer extraordinaire Aries. Lastly, Navi's conscious messages and lyrical prowess are once again showcased to great effect with Miami's Bass Nacho on "Kingston 11," a previously released track smoothly re-translated by way of Potential Badboy's slick, laid-back, jazzy production magic. So there you have it, the complete package, yet another serious example of songwriting, Reggae Junglist style, and modern day musical Jungle production at its finest that we're sure you'll appreciate. There is no doubt that this release will make a serious impact on dance floors and radio alike, so please feel free to enjoy it at your leisure, for your ultimate listening pleasure.
Don't forget, keep your eyes peeled for the EP remixes dropping in September with heavy hitting dance floor bangers all courtesy of Liondub-ODTmuzik.

Titus
A1 Bury Dem
B1 Everyone Should (Wake Me Up)
close
Pete Hazell AKA Titus 12 is a shadowy Bristol-based beatsmith, a producer of experimental dubwise dance music influenced by "smoked out hip hop, sound system culture, and field recordings." Hazell says all of these influences came together in these tracks "cooked up while under the influence of Melbourne's incredible beat scene." Host of Ujima 98 FM's weekly Subsession radio show, he is well known in the city as a purveyor of deep, eclectic, bass-centric music of all stripes & hues - beats without borders. We are very pleased to be releasing Titus 12's first physical release.
'Bury Dem' marries a lurching 140-ish dub-hop riddim to a buzzing analog bassline, 8-bit skanks, haunting melodica - pure propulsive nod-factor dubwise, a molasses-soaked, ganja-infused confection that sounds like Lee Perry busting out some chopped & screwed. Titus 12 shows that an 'eyes-down' tune needn't be dark or bitter.
'Everyone Should (Wake Me Up)' simply has to be skanked to to be grasped. Like the Skatalites with Todd Edwards on vocal duties, Madlib on the MPC and Zomby on bass, this one is for the 2-Tone 2-Step revival that is already in full swing on some glorious alternate Earth. If you, like us, weary of rigid genre-boundaries and want to be surprised again - trust.

With releases on Black Box, Box Clever, System - and of course firmly planted in the mighty Innamind camp of artists - ZamZam is proud to forward our first 7" from the enigmatic LAS (Love and Sound) AKA Lassi Vainionpaa of Helsinki.
Well-known to those that have journeyed alongside LAS during his live shows the last couple years, "Traveling" is a deep journey into the post-dubstep ether - a classic Upsetters sample rotates and swims in strange orbits around a rubbery sub and LAS' signature conga-led percussion. Half way through the tune a 4/4 pulse takes over and the dubbing goes recursive and non-Euclidian, even while it drives that much harder.
"Omega Dub" takes a turn for the darker - the darkness of space. A hollowed out lead that sounds like throat signing cyborgs navigates the craft, propelled by insistent skanks. Spectral key flourishes bloom from the beyond, and hats and snares are pushed into an ever deeper reverb void.
