Three years ago, when the duo began exchanging tips on records, production techniques and gears, they had nothing particular in mind. This strategy, or lack thereof, revealed to be much more beneficial to both. One night of 2013, Francois X invites Antigone to DSCRD's studio -- a creative bunker in Paris suburb that was DEMENT3D's inner circle headquarters at the time. This friendly, spontaneous session quickly turned into a creative workshop and by the end of the evening, "The Hated SZ" was already there. As you may imagine, projects spanning over such a long time can be risky. You get lost, but that's what the boys wanted. While slowly affirming their personal sound signature, they were crafting new textures, where their mutual sense of fine dance music and detailed production would hit a new freedom threshold. Francois X admitted to be under the spell of Aposuspita, an art performance and mystical character created by french artist Laura O'Rorke for which he created the soundtrack. The result is a double-EP, the soundtrack of a powerful rite de passage between reality and fiction. A carefully crafted dance music record that tells a story and alters your mind. Just like Aposuspita sucks the pain away from her tribe, Antigone & Francois X's "EP TITLE" offers a modern day catharsis to the listener. After three years of work, what begun as a innocent one night stand turned into one of Paris most exciting release for year 2016. This is 3 tracks by Da Posse (produced by Hula... one of the Outthere Brothers... and with Maurice Joshua, K Fingers & Martell). Strings & Its My Life are Chicago's take on Detroit techno... a rare release that sounds like a early Derrick May record (think 'The Dance') but maybe slightly more straight forward (as one might expect from Chicago). A rare piece in house and techno history since this is one of the rare examples of a record that doesn't show the clear difference between Chicago and Detroit in the late 80's. This record most likely got produced within 1 year after Rhythm = Rhythms legendary Nude Photo and Strings of Life releases (both '87 and this came out in '88). Gorgeous female vocals slapped on that lovely 80's synthesizer/drum programming. This is one of those releases that easily makes it into the top 50 of all time greatest italo disco songs. Produced by Roberto Ferrante (also known for his Pinneaples project) and originally released on the obscure Airport label in 1984. We managed to restore and re-master the original versions and the lovely 'Paris' mix. On top of the original versions we serve you a new re-rub by italian Italo specialist Bottin (Eskimo, Artifacts etc) and Ibiza's Dimovi (The Love Supreme, Tirk Records). Dimovi and Bottin did a great job with a new crazy soundhack mix that cranks up the energy level and makes it more jackin. Pretty amazing when you realize that these tracks are making people dance for 28 years now. More then enough reason for a proper re-release on high quality vinyl.
