The 10th release of Float Records will be celebrated in style by label owners TWR72. They present you their own new EP called 'X'. Three original groove monsters supported by an intense and profound remix from Endlec.
X1 has a remarkable and outspoken bassline with a slighty 'back in the days'-feel created by the drums. Slowly the organ theme grows and grows until you get used to it. Heavy hitting claps make sure to keep your attention towards the break. And then... X2 has a driving groove as the main subject. Steered by an almost annoying high pitched pad and later some haunting strings. The real science starts when Endlec works his magic. His unique drum programming and distorted yet sophisticated approach of the elements creates the best remix. X3, the fast groover with a slick bassline, a cheeky synth and jacking drums is perhaps a safe approach. But we guarantee this will work on every dancefloor. As a digital bonus there is another brilliant remix by Endlec. Judge it yourself.

The analog beat-grinder from Japan, Miclodiet, is back on Genesa Records with his distinctive, gnarly
sound. Yasunobu usually releases his material on his own cassette-only label, Sludge -Tapes, but during the last 2 years, you were able to see him appear on GENESA005V alongside JoeFarr, VSK & the label boss Scalameriya or on our digital only division with a complete EP, remixed by Martyn Hare, Alhek & Forest People. For his debut vinyl EP, he prepared some stripped down, ultra minimalistic techno stompers infused with recognizable hooks and drones. An absolute must-have for dj's who are searching for refreshments to add to their crate!

Invite's Choice Records continues on the path chosen with a 3-track vinyl release which showcases some new and well-established names.
Hertz Collision has the honour of being chosen to be the only artist showcasing a track on the A-side. This eerie, melodic track sets quite a special mood for the EP to start with. The B-side is opened by Wrong Assessment with a track that's focussed on the low-end. This synth-driven track fits well in the mood set on the A-side, but continues with a heavier drive. The droning kick draws you in and makes you want to go dance the day away in smoke-filled rooms. Savas Pascalidis finishes the EP off with a banger true to his own style that relies on the drummachine for it's swing. This oldschool, loopy techno banger closes another outstanding EP by Invite's Choice Records.

Throughout the ages man has been obsessed with the idea of the dead coming back to us, either through the power of faith, magic and/or science, or as (horror) arousing
visitations from beyond the grave. But cold hands like these needn't be physical: an ambiguous childhood memory, a few burning phrases from a book, or a short but powerful patchwork of tones and rhythms can also come back and haunt you when you least expect it.
Ritual Malmo 02 consists of three such works that have haunted us for some time now, beseeching us to share them like cursed japanese vhs-tapes. Who we are is not important - This is forever yours now.

Always guide by the force of synths, Malice of Absence presents itself on side A as an intense voyage to the depth of strobes and flash. While the Bass line snakes slowly towards the night, the vocal samples from different species of planet Earth make the piece grow to levels closer to maximalism of Enter the Void as well as Balearic rhythms that circulate in the driving axis of the track. If you listen to it in a club you will wave your arms and if you listen on the couch what will rise will be your body
The Israel duo Red Axes accommodate us to a Balearic sunset with a red atmosphere governed by the melodies of Art of Noise, the horizontal flights of Vangelis and the spiritual calmness of Mr. Fingers.
The londoner Richard Sen takes advantage of some original elements of the track that closes this 12 inch, in which the cruise speed rises gently and reconstructs the principal foundation with great imagination. The theorist exercise resolves the equation that the german cosmic exposition has deposited under a mirror ball of The Loft in a space with a life of its own

close
During their European tour earlier this year, Canadian duo Jokers Of The Scene stopped over for a couple of days at Club Bizarre studio in Northern France. The two pair of producers locked up and came up with Betaville and Breakwater, two killer lo-fi and spaced out tracks. Betaville is a fuzzy dream that will make you dance in slow motion with your head in the clouds. Boasting a strong melodic and nostalgic feel, it unfolds its warm analog synth pads, old school sequences and drum machine to psychedelic effect. Imagine Boards Of Canada wanting to make you dance.. Even slower is Breakwater, a dirtier, chunkier track that ditches the softness of Betaville in favour of a more 'in your face' bass line and all together rougher attitude. It chugs along to old fashioned beat box claps and percussion and quirky synth melodies. Lastly Betaville gets the Timothy J Fairplay treatment of being violently pulled apart and chucked in all corners. Reminiscent of early Chemical Brothers music, a heavy beat slaps over agressive drugged up analog sound effects while a repetitive, haunting melody screams on top and reverberated vocals whisper in your ears. Scary.

It's by no means a stretch to learn that both producers have crates that contain their favourites from each genre but they've also found a mutual respect and connection in the studio over the last few years, leading to the dBRm moniker for Craig Richards' The Nothing Special label.

Infection jumps straight at you, jumps straight into life, and you'll catch the virus immediately. The initial repeated sample makes way for a banging beat, which in turn draws you into the surrounding atmospherics.Everything builds up nicely, with warped electronics launching into massive swirls of menacing bass. As fitting a composition courtesy of BTK and Optical, the production levels are high, with layers of sound sweeping in and out. The producers isolate things at the mid-point, before ripping the track back up to finish strongly. The beats'll grab you, the firing low end'll hold you, and you won't be able to escape the Infection.
Let It Go is equally massive, with looped choral samples to lead it off. The flavour is different from Infection, with a smoother feel to the intro, but the levels are ramped up soon enough. Both producers absolutely go at it, with thumping drums and smash-through bass. The dancefloor is just going to love this one, and you can imagine it going off everywhere and anywhere it is played. Synths drop in later, but the main features of the tune are its beats 'n' bass. Never giving you time to pause, this one is a classic in the making. Nothing's going to hold you back, just Let It Go.

Technicians at the powerful EATBRAIN label have spent the last year researching ways to step beyond the now legendary TALES OF THE UNDEAD LP chapter of their history, roaming the lands to uncover new technologies to deliver the future of electronic music into our hands. This journey took them to the theory of the mirror universe - the implications of which are about to invert the DnB spectrum, deeply disrupting the minds and ears of the vast Eatbrain audience.
We begin at the dawn of time, before the formation of stars and celestial bodies, before all matter existed as an intensely hot homogeneous soup. Starting at the point from which the initial singularity erupted, setting the path of the Universe as we know it and in the process forging a twin universe to our own. A parallel mirror universe to which this leading neurofunk label have ripped open a portal...
EATBRAIN are very proud to present the MIRROR UNIVERSE LPs - plucked from the very fabric and citizens of the twin reality and ours. Maintaining the portal between universes continuously over the past year, a significant amount of audio material has made it across the divide. With producers and their mirror twins in both universes working to deliver a stunning array of tracks and constructing LP's of unprecedented scope.
With the vast amount of material presented in the MIRROR UNIVERSE LPs, Eatbrain make a bold statement of intent in the DnB landscape of the universe we inhabit.

The two combine their production skills for a soulful stepper with intricate drum patterns layered with classic breakbeats, soul samples, and heavy sub bass - taking the listener back to the classic 90's jungle era with modern day influences.
The B-side features remix duties from Danny Scrilla. Danny is a well seasoned producer with releases on such labels as Cosmic Bridge, Civil Music, Rudimentary Records, and most recent Zam Zam Sounds. Danny brings his integrity to 'My Soul' with a heavy 808 halftime intro, seductive piano work, and detailed horn stabs; leading the listener into a melodic dance floor jungle shuffle with a delicate vocal sample weaving in and out of the track sending chills down your spine.

Belgian neurofunk powerhouse MINDTECH RECORDINGS bring us their biggest release to date, the PEACE Of MIND LP! Bringing together tracks from heavyweights of the scene like NEONLIGHT, DOSE, CHRIS.SU and NICKBEE alongside up and coming producers like AKOV, OKULI and HELLO DANGER, this is a serious selection of future music from one of the brightest imprints currently in operation.
CHRIS.SU & NICKBEE lead the charge with the epic 'Frozen Forever'; massive sci-fi synths on the intro give way to snarling bass and heavy, angular beats at the drop for a track that has been tearing up the clubs across Europe.
Next up comes a deep, deadly stepper from Russian newcomer KIJE. Grimey bass modulations and stripped back beats keep 'Stare Into The Sun' bubbling along nicely.
'Camber' sees RREGULA taking a rare break from his collaborative Zombie Cats project to turn in a dark, minimalistic roller. Punchy sub and ultra precise beats give this one a really moody vibe.
OKULI is up next, taking things to a seriously rowdy level on 'Shift Grip'. Huge kicks and snares punch through the mix around a dirty, squelching bassline; expect to see the crowds bouncing to this one!
German neuro legends NEONLIGHT are on fine form for their entry to the LP, dishing up a gargantuan remix of SKYNET's sampler track 'Disorder', and seriously disorderly it is too! Wobbling bassline rhythms, huge reese swells and funky-ass drum fills combine on a track that will start riots, guaranteed.
Mindtech veteran AXI focuses on groove and atmosphere on 'Exosphere', bringing a hypnotic hint of techno to the neurofunk sound. Bongo rolls and a pulsing technoid groove give this a relentless vibe that will keep the rave simmering away nicely.
'The Awakening' shows ALLIED on fine form, turning in a wicked slice of his unique cinematic style. Atmospheric pads and ethereal vocals on the intro give way to a hyper-kinetic groove powered by rapid fire bass hits and sci-fi stabs.
AKOV returns to Mindtech with a crisp new remaster of previous label favourite 'Mantra' which returns even heavier than before. D&B mastering legend Beau Thomas has given the tune a fantastic new sheen; anyone who missed this gem from the self-styled bear of neurofunk first time around is in for a treat.
Another scene heavyweight is on hand for the Peace of Mind LP; Kiwi producer DOSE brings the heat with a gnarly new remix of OPTIV's 'Stereotype' from Mindtech's very first vinyl release. Retaining the infectious sci-fi lead of the original but switching up the rhythm and throwing in a huge new stab line for extra energy, DOSE has created an absolute monster!
Taking the vibe deeper once again, regular collaborators CRUEL CULTURE & KEOSZ
return to Mindtech with the moody, understated tones of 'Sagitarrius'. Crisp drums and
weighty sub.
Last but by no means least, Russia's HELLO DANGER turns in a huge neuro-jump-up
smasher on 'Hornets'. Classic rolling breaks and an agressive mid-range section to
smash up the dance!
Once again Mindtech are at the cutting edge of drum & bass production with a varied
and forward-thinking selection from some of the best musicians in the scene.
Watch out for the PEACE OF MIND LP dropping on 3x12" vinyl, CD and digital very soon.
