Surgeon remix Autechre - Whose bad hands are these? Part 1

Recording info

For the first part of this very special project Surgeon sent parts from as yet unfinished tracks to carefully selected remixers to get their interpretations, uninfluenced by the final finished tracks. 'Bad hands break' starts the project with references to bass 'n' bleep as well as dubstep fused techno. 'DisinVectant dislocated finger mix' is advanced industrial death-trip grime. Previewed on the Mary Ann Hobbs show on BBC Radio 1 she said, "A very, very challenging piece of work. Certainly a track that will divide our audience - do you love it? do you hate it?". 'Bad Hands (part II)' is a perpetual motion groove that collapses into nothingness. Autechre take the original parts and gradually chop, warp and fuse them into another realm in a way that only these innovators can. This was also previewed on the Mary Ann Hobbs show on BBC Radio1. These tracks have also been road-tested over the past few months and have featured in mixes downloaded from Surgeon's website over 13,500 times.
