Fuck Pony is a new project that Berlin producers Jay Haze and Samim use to explore the outer limits of house music with.
Taking inspiration from the old school, they drop Ride The Pony, a vocal house track that celebrates the hedonistic, lifestyle dance music offers, dancing all night to repetitive beats and emotive music with like minded people. Of course, this being a modern day release, the production is cleaner, the sounds clearer and the vocals a bit edgier, but the basic message remains the same: dance music is a uniting force.
Cell Phone Hit on the other hand is a more direct club track, tailor made for dark basements. The seemingly uneding vocal mantra Get inside ya, yeah I gotta is set to a trippy, repetitive rhythm which is perfect for those moments when a crowd collectively locks onto a DJs groove in a small, darkened space to create an intangible atmosphere.
Finally, Haze and Samim make a return of sorts to the minimal sound that they are best known for with Schmoozin. Stripped back and with wild yelping noises, this is no dark, purist sound however, and the warm building chords will make it the ideal accompanying soundtrack to this summers outdoor and after parties, especially as the sun comes up after a hard nights partying.
