La Flaca presents its second release, the culmination SON!kA's lengthy introspective
journey in the search for a more distinct, modern and personal sound. The Costa Rican
producer's record avoids textbook genre rules but the sound is reminiscent of techno yet
focused on bass; a textured episode of percussive touches, cinematic tones and elegant aesthetics. A move to a wintry NYC inspired the B-side, an insightful duo dwelling in the crisp, dark and suspenseful. One of these was chosen as a part of FRITE NITE's
'Surreal Estate' compiled by Anna Sia. The A-side represents a return to Central
America, a clear manifestation of heavy percussion, sweltering synths, war horns and scifi atmospherics.
