After years of building around techno, Genex is moving somewhere else.
The shift has been happening for a while. The music is becoming less about the expected function of a techno record and more about groove, movement and the details that make a track feel alive. House has always been part of the picture, but now it takes a much bigger role.
Weeks & Weeks EP marks the first release from this new chapter.
It also opens the catalogue of Concrete Soul, a new label built around house and techno with soul. A place for music that can be raw without losing its character, and functional without losing the feeling behind it. Concrete Soul is about the contrast between the hard and the human, the concrete and the soul.
