In drum and bass, things happen quickly. Overnight success comes with one big tune, new labels spring up almost every day, and tracks are declared old news before they have even been released. But even by these standards, IMT:LTD are making serious moves. With seven releases, including two EP's, to their name since dropping in May this year, the French label celebrate the unprecedented success of their digital venture with this, their first vinyl release to date. This is a big moment for the label, and the pair of tracks represented here are of the calibre we have come to expect from these guys.
On 'Viral', Hobzee teams up with Zyon Base for a chilled out roller that'll put the cones through their paces on even the biggest systems. A twisted, growling melody and atmospheric background synths fill the mix up nicely.
Stepping with a little more bounce on the B-side, Hobzee goes it alone with 'Nothing Else Matters'. On a big, wobbly vibe that falls just the right side of silly, this one is sure to bring the dancefloor up a notch when it
