Born near the French border and growing up in the 90s, Dirk Lamprecht aka DML developed a strange but even more so strong interest in Hardcore-Techno. But this style quickly became too limited for him and he adopted the sound of Detroit: Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin and Robert Hood became the most influencial artists for him. Over the years he became affiliated with an even greater spectrum of musical influences, ranging from all sorts of electronic music to jazz and even world music. In addition he graduated as an audio engineer and started to perform as a live act in 2002. More knowledge consequently leads to a much more diverse way of producing own tracks. In 2007 Dirk Lamprecht made his debut under his alias DML on the legendary label Harthouse. His productions range from tribalistic via hypnotic, with a hint of Detroit under his real name and from a touch of Minimal, through melodramatic to straight Techno under his alias DML.
