Support from Surgeon, Gunjack, Jerome Hill, Paul Mac, Grovskopa and more.
This, the second installment of 'Trapdoor Material', delves further into the Irish undergrowth, assembling a new lineup of producers to carry the torch. The ep opens with the thundering spaced out techno of Fran Hartnett's 'Alpha' and creepy, dub tinged rhythms of Uninerves' 'Black Ops', while on the flip the Autechre like stylings of Kachanski's 'Improper Hinge' are flanked by the dog mannered funk of Ed Devane (Touchin' Bass) - who creates a new genre, trapstep, in the process. Like Part 1, artwork here is from Redmonk who brings the Trapdoor story to a brutal next level! Early approval of this release comes from Jerome Hill, Grovskopa, Paul Mac, Kr!z (Token), Marcel Heese (Tresor HQ), Gunjack and the mighty Surgeon, who has been caning Fran Hartnett's 'Alpha' everywhere over the last few months. Each track here kills it, don't miss it.
