Prestige Music is pleased to announce the release of our 10th vinyl pressing and a milestone for any growing imprint. On this occasion, we feature the second outing on Prestige from Dublin basshead Dominic Purcell aka BETA 2. After an exceptional plate released in early '09, we've linked back up with Dom this time around to showcase his progressive soundscapes as he couples with vocalist Aoife Faughnan aka EVA. 'Nite Link b/w Fair Search' can only be described as both eerie and vibrant simultaneously. 'Nite Link' on the Aside is a course stepper, bouncing along a reverbed vox arrangement. Very bright synths stream alongside a growling bass with even a slight wobble to it. 'Fair Search' steps up the bass synth to the upteeth degree, while the tune goes slightly techy and even haunting. Eva's vocal work gives it that unnerving feeling, something evocative to a lost sense of peace. Too deep perhaps? That can't ever be the case for Prestige Music. Consider yourself warned; be on the lookout for these forthcoming bits pressed to a limited edition vinyl release by mid-September followed by digital availability shortly thereafter.
