Makam - The Hague Soul

Recording info

Amsterdam hits up the scene with a new imprint once more. After some years of friendship and some projects in the studio together, Kabale und Liebe and Lauhaus team up again. This time to launch a new label. SOWESO Records. With SOWESO Records Kabale und Lauhaus want to put out new school house music. First up is the young and talented Makam from The Hague, Holland. With his vintage sound he builts the perfect bridge between old- and newschool house music. The A side, The Hague Soul, is a real chicago house stomper with a character of its own. Heavy beats, nagging synth sounds and a raw voice, all on a mission to prove that the Hague is the soulful city. The B1, Exception, is like a young Thomas Bangalter meets Moodyman. Here Makam is freaking with his filterknobs, leaving the crowd waiting until hes ready to burst. BOMB! On the B2 Kabale und Lauhaus pair up for a deeper remix that gives a more chemical end flowy vibe to the original of The Hague Soul. Early support by Karotte, Nick Curly, Matthias Kaden, Johnny D and Matthew Dear.
