After starting up the infamous Invite's Choice podcast series in 2011, Tim van Paradijs (a.k.a. Invite) notes that the time feels right to contribute to the techno scene in a totally different way. The long cherished wish of starting up a recordlabel under the Invite moniker and thus propagating his view on electonic music is now to be fulfilled.
Phonology is a deep and droning track which lends itself perfectly for building tension. Plenary is a more repetitive track with less of a deep vibe than the A-side track, but nonetheless is a track that manages to form a bridge between deep tracks and more straight forward ones. The EP is concluded by a short, funky and frivolous track dubbed Bisonspoor. All together the first Invite's Choice Records EP is a very versatile and thought through record with three tracks that stand alone and somehow still manage to form one entity.

Spanish based label NuLabel, set out on their third vinyl adventure which comes impregnated with authentic German Techno from Coeter, who signs two original tracks in addition to two reworks from Berlin based Ixel and the Brazilian producer Urbano.
Coeter opens the curtain with '110', track with a deep technoid soul of fanfare, leisurely pace and a mix of raw and hypnotic sounds that drawn on the powerful bass-line.
'145' presents the most upbeat and danceable side of Coeter, who submerges us into a universe of synthetic and atmospheric beats colliding with each other causing a delicious sound reaction.
Ixel lands from Berlin to leave a nice treatment of '110', where he uses practically the same original elements, looking for colder sensations thanks to a sharp base and stealthy rhythm of the track.
Finally the Brazillian Urbano activates all your senses with his rework of '145', sounding architecture in appearance more forceful and aggressive than the original, but with many elements that form a chaotic and high-flying track.

UK techno founders B12 return! The duo's history famously started in the early 90's with their music appearing under a plethora of monikers under the "B12 Records" umbrella - 12" vinyl with notorious cryptic messages engraved in the run-out grooves, before being collected into album form and release on Warp. After a hiatus in the late 90's, the pair resurfaced briefly for some live shows, a flurry of hugely sought-after 12"s and a 7-part CD anthology. They then abruptly disappeared again - this is their first appearance in 5 years, fittingly on Glaswegian imprint Soma. (Their seminal Warp Records album was named Electro Soma...is there a connection?) The Bokide 325 EP Is it a planet to be explored, or the journey through a personal hell? Only a few know for sure but at the end of this voyage expressed in the best way B12 know how, layers of sounds, beats, synths, lush pads, and seductive melodies the hope of a whole new reality is reached. It conjures up foreboding, planetary soundscapes - rooted in the more ambient, filmic side of their output, is it a reflection of recent turmoil within/ the artists personal lives? The EP opens with "Into the Void", whose simple but emotive synth line weaves its way across a variety of beats and sounds, and takes the listener into the depths where the true journey can commence. Onwards, darker and more mysterious notes loom up throughout "Descension" and "Unsound Mind", with pounding bass throbbing underneath, leading further into the world of shadows where the alarming awareness that something isn't quite right never truly leaves you. It concludes with Terra Incognita, the final track of the EP - an unknown place, left to be discovered and completed by the listener.

In this E.P, Phobos (fear), every artist expresses his most disturbing consciousness, giving us an awesome dose of techno without scruples or contemplations. It is a sensitive group project which is drawn directly into our subconscious. The track Phobos speaks from strong foundations and dark shades that put soundtrack to Water Rojas hallucinations (Rojas is the illustrator of this E.P.). In Erratic Chaos, the composer takes us amid the wrong road map of disorder. Phobonica is the end of a tortured mind which transmutes its inner voices in dark melodies, snares and drums. At last, Acid panic is a dark acid track built from the fear which follows a tension line made with abstract melodies.

It's the fourth release from the Berlin based imprint Wet Cellar, simply titled 'WET 004/V.A.' it's a example of what the label is about, simply producing a Techno sound and frame of mind in regards to underground electronic dance music.
The release brings two artists already known in previous releases Marco Effe and Salvo Castelli for A-side, while the B-side features a new artist, the young talent that is, Mattia Trani label boss of Pushmaster Discs.
The release starts with Marco Effe's 'Phase Meter' is raw minimal Techno, in short relentless and simplistic in stature, full of organic sounds and rhythm where a powerful bass line dominates our own heartbeats.
Next up on the A-side is Salvo Castelli with his 'Border Drone' with a a vigorous kick and keeps curiosity up with whips and organic sounds expertly arranged, as well as filters that open and close, and accentuate this piece's rhythm.
The E.P is sown up on the B-side with 'Black Structure' from Mattia Trani, with it's sound straight and overwhelming, with stunning counterattacks intertwined with a symphony of sounds, vibrations, in which the individual parts fit attracted by the resonance with similar sounds.

Chris Muniz 8/10 #4 Hidden Turn pushing the boundaries and digging in deep for a synapse-twisting exploration of beats, atmospheres and bass..
Daniel Boden 8/10 #1 Really like the minimal/dancehall vibes going on throughout the EP. Solid work from Hidden Turn. Never seems to disappoint
Klaus Fiehe 7/10 #3 Interesting tracks "Nothing" being the perhaps most organic one. BUT: "Everything" could be called a "Kraut-Reggae" opus + "Something" comes along with kind of Massive Attack groove at second sight....airplay over here will come now - thanks a lot! Klaus Fiehe

Ambra Recordings gears up for their third vinyl release this time featuring drum & bass heavyweights Lynx and Random Movement on remix duties.
Fresh of his debut album on Hospital, the the A side sees 'Lynx' bring the ruckus flipping 'Moon Love', an already strong original by Ambra headhoncho Emery together with Garo and Umiko. Clever, distinguished sound design and outstanding vibes coming from the man known for his malificent, dark-toned melodies and progressions. The playfull and clever drum programming with little edits and percussion is underlined by an undulating bassline that provides an intricate look at his unique style of production.
On the flip we continue with a producer that needs no introduction. We'll give him one anyway! Random Movement, one of the most renowned Statesside producers out there, proves once again he definitely possesses the Midas touch turning Simplification's laid back roller 'Love Forever' into a bouncy, extremely addictive groove with his trademark sound plastered all over. There are plenty of wah-wah's and repeating vocals to be heard wich make a great combination together with the superb bass that has plenty of (random) movement and grit in the mid section. Strong stuff once again from the Ambra Recordings camp!

The Prolific Eatbrain are back once again, with Italian producer Dabs returning to their embracing fold following his 2014 release with them. Having releasing on labels like Dispatch, Avantgarde, and Horizons, Dabs is no stranger to the hard hitting, ultra-modern machine funk sound peddled by the Eatbrain collective.
On his 'Rawbot EP' the Italian producer enlists the help of scene godfather Rymetyme, prodigious talent L 33 and Czech badman A-Cray creating a free flowing EP that smacks like a heavyweight boxer and sings like an opera darling.
The drums are hard and bouncy, the basslines deep and vocal, the collaborations spot on, but there is something beautifully unquantifiable about the music Dabs makes, something in the compositional style that just seems so different from everything else being released at the moment.
Opening number Grindwerk combines the trademark spoken word type vocals of Rymetyme, with a steampunk gated synth line, a tough dutty bassline, and the future neuro type drums that Eatbrain artists do so well, whilst his collaboration with A-Cray - Hysteria - combines a sinister attitude with darkside sound effects, evil bass tones and horrifically brutal rhythm tracks.
The titular Rawbot combines more intricate drum patterns with folding metal robot bass lines and sporadic major scale synth intonations that give the track an odd, retro futurism feel. That Door once more shows off Dabs strange musicality, with an almost ambient, liquid intro that segues - in typical Eatbrain style - into a dancefloor monster with percussive basslines, playing off against, clipped pitched up drums and a weird metal snare sound and other layered sound effects and synth that accents the minimal beat perfectly, before the intro returns, taking the tune off into epic territory before returning the gutter once again.
